Avery’s Birthday is at the end of August, luckily the day was clear and sunny as we had a braai (BBQ) in the front yard and some snack for the children.

This years birthday theme is balloons
今年的主題是氣球趴
We tried to stick the balloons straight on to the wall to make a shape of ‘4’ but due to the texture of the wall, the balloons couldn’t stick directly onto the wall. So we used duct tape first to stick on the wall with the lines of the ‘4’ then stuck the balloons onto the duct tape. Worked out well
本來想在牆壁上用小氣球來拼成4的，結果發現牆壁不平，不好黏，只好先用厚膠帶貼成一個4，再將氣球貼在底層了。
For the children, they decorated their own blank balloons with paint, glitter and other stuff. Let them imagine and design their own ideas
給小朋友的活動就是裝飾氣球
我放了許多顏料跟亮粉，所以他們可以自己發揮自己的創意來畫氣球
當然也有因為顏料還沒乾就弄髒自己臉和衣服的情況啦

A successful 4th birthday party for Avery
Avery 4歲party 成功
Because Avery’s twin cousins came from out of town to attend her party, we decided the next day to go to a place little bit outside where we stay to have brunch. It’s called ‘The Cabin’
因為這次的生日讓Avery的兩位雙胞胎表姊都從Bloemfontein來參加，於是隔天就去”The Cabin” 吃早午餐
The food at The Cabin mainly consists of fast food or lighter meals such as sandwiches and burgers. There are no dishes like steaks and stuff like that
The Cabin位在到Clocolan的路上，是比較屬於簡單餐點，例如三明治、漢堡，香腸蛋早餐之類的，沒有牛排羊排之類的大餐
The outdoor seating was like cabanas with thatched roof which is very popular in South Africa
每張桌子都有南非傳統式用草鋪成的遮陽
Many things for the kids to keep them busy
小孩最喜歡的就是有很大的場地玩
There are also a few shops there that sells mostly homemade stuff like biscuits, jams and other things
店裡也有賣很多樣自製的果醬、蜂蜜跟手工餅乾，非常值得來走走
